Peels

We offer three different types of revitalizing peels, each one designed to address your specific skin care concerns.

What Are Peels?

Revitalizing peels are specialty skin care treatments that involve the application of mild acids to the skin. The most common chemical peels contain a range of different nutrients and acids such as glycolic, trichloroacetic, salicylic, lactic, and carbolic acid. These components are safe for the skin and act as exfoliating agents, ridding your skin of dead cells and debris. The advantage of repeated light chemical peeling is minimal downtime from work and other activities. Repeated chemical peeling is a program of skin rejuvenation that aims to improve the skin over time rather than with one procedure.

What Do Peels Address?

Perfect for the face, chest, back, and back of hands: Glycolic, Lactic, and Salicylic Acid Peels are mild chemical peels used for the treatment of minor wrinkles, pigmentary variations, and acne. Salicylic acid, for example, is a safe, effective treatment for mild acne, oily skin, textural changes and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in people of most skin types. Glycolic Acid can reduce the appearance of wrinkles while also causing stratum corneum to lift off and separate from underlying skin, giving skin a much smoother look and feel. Lactic acid is perfect for those struggling with dry skin and looking to reduce their age spots. This acid helps you look younger while keeping your skin hydrated.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

Most of the chemical peels available at our center generally take 15-30 minutes to apply. However, this time may vary depending on your individual skin care needs. During a peel session, most people feel a slight burning and stinging sensation. This feeling usually lasts about 5-10 minutes. In addition to these treatments, we also offer various skin care products to help nourish your skin.

Results of Using Peels

Mild revitalizing peels offer a nice radiance and glow with zero downtime. This variety may be repeated at four-week intervals until optimal results are reached. Medium and deep chemical peels may result in some slight swelling, redness, and sensitivity. Afterward, your skin will peel over a period of 7-14 days. You’ll need to avoid direct sunlight for several months after a chemical peel since your new skin will be fragile and prone to irritation.
